How to Stop Taking Low Business Results Personally
When you have low business results, and your outcomes are not where you want them to be, it is so easy to make it personal. You put in the effort, you show up, you try to get your work in front of the right eyes, and when the traction does not come, it can feel like your business is failing, or worse, like you are failing.
If you’ve ever felt despondent because your free workshop had hardly any signups, your offer did not land the way you hoped, people unsubscribed from your newsletter, or you found yourself comparing your results to someone further ahead of you, this post will help you take a breath, come back to perspective, and look at what is happening without losing courage or self-trust.

1. Check Who You’re Comparing Yourself To
The fastest way to feel like your business is failing is to compare your very first launch to someone else’s fifth. Or to watch someone with 100 000 followers post about 250 signups and hold that up against your 11 (with a fraction of the followers, mind you).
It’s not a fair comparison. You’re not even in the same game. That person has likely refined their messaging over multiple rounds and what you are seeing is momentum that is build on repetition. Not overnight magic.

2. Clarify What You’re Actually Offering
Do a quick pulse check on the most recent offers you can think of. How many of them have vague, airy-fairy outcomes? And how many have a clear you know exactly how this will change your life promise? And which one would you rather buy?
If your offer promises empowerment, alignment or support, with not much else to give it a clear result, that might sound good, but it stays in vague land. If you’re not clear on the transformation, your messaging will be murky, so get clear.
3. Detach Your Performance from Your Identity
This is the one that’ll free you the fastest. Your business results are not a verdict on your value. It says nothing about you as a person. They are data. They are math. That’s it.
So instead of feeling like you are a failure, look at the numbers to show you where the gap is you need to close.
4. Know What Season You’re In
We live in a world that praises you for being in summer time. And we fault ourselves for going through different seasons that are not summer.
Your business has seasons just like your body. When you ignore that, you will push when you should pause. You can not harvest in winter.
5. Zoom Out and Hold Your Perspective
People sign up for things and don’t show up all the time. We’ve all done it because…life. Either the timing doesn’t work or something else pops up.
It doesn’t mean your offer was no good or that there is something wrong with you. But here’s the other piece: sometimes, people don’t engage because the benefit isn’t clear enough. And that is valuable feedback for you to work with.
It’s feedback
When your numbers dip, or your inbox is quieter than usual, it’s easy to fall into the loop of “Maybe I’m just not good enough.”
So when you feel like you are a failure because of have low business growth because , use that as valuable feedback. Shift the way in which you interpret the data that your business gives you, so you can stop being reactive and instead use that energy to support your nervous system and refine your message.
